I have a very rare & genuine 3.5 rpm gauge, I feel so lucky to have found it. Thinking of selling separately instead of fitting it as I’m selling the car soon and no one would appreciate it as much as it should be. PM me if you are interested, thanks for the vid too 👍

The four great Mercedes Benz are missing: Pagoda, Gullwing, Pullman and the SLR. I bought my first in 1962 and the last one I sold in 1996. Now they are just ordinary driving machine. They lost their lustre when they started using Chrysler's parts. Yes, they were great cars, overengineered yet, drivable by ordinary drivers. They were also the safest until Volvo started the campaign of safety to passengers first. The best car that was ever made was the VW Phaeton. Maybe they should have never used only Phaeton without VW.
You are so right - the VW Phaeton was by far the best car ever made - No doubt. The great Ferdinand Piech gave the order " Built me the best car in the world. I want the ultimate sedan "- and they built it. In 2015 the new Phaeton W 12 Hybrid with 650 bhp (now in the Bentley) was finished and ready for the market launched, but "Diesel Gate" killed this "out of this world car". I had the comparasion with Audi A8, BMW 7 series, Mercedes S-Classes....the Phaeton was by far with every yardstick the BEST of the BEST !!!!

I just had to take a look, W204 C63 AMG, 457HP at 6800rpm. With this one, the scale extends from the rev counter to 6000rpm, the red area starts at 5250rpm, you can see the development in engine construction!

@@chofajogazzz Un ami de mon père, dans les années 70, avait une très belle 300 SEL 6.3 intérieur velours bleuté, j'adorais, mais personnellement je suis plutôt Citroën, je possède une très belle DS Pallas intérieur velours "vieil or", cela suffit à mon bonheur. Merci quand même.

Unfortunately all 3 not using the original German single piece sealed headlamps, which blends more smoothly with the overall design of the vehicle. These circular lamps look like some 'afterthoughts' which looks out of place with the design unfortunately.

That throttle response of natural engines is something I terribly miss. Especially those with individual throttle bodies, it's amazing.
